Wales - Eligibility Checker Now Open for Welsh Government's Next Emergency Package of Support

The Welsh Government recently announced that businesses will be able to apply for its next emergency package of support between Tuesday 13 July 2021 and Friday 23 July 2021.

As a reminder, the emergency package will cover operating costs for July and August 2021 of those businesses required to remain closed and which are severely impacted by ongoing restrictions.

This includes eligible businesses in the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors which will be entitled to an additional payment of between £1,000 and £25,000 (depending on their size, structure and circumstance) to cover the period until the end of August 2021. All eligible businesses will also need to make an application for the funding – it is not an automatic entitlement.

An eligibility checker is now available on the Business Wales website, allowing businesses to check their eligibility for the support and how much they might be entitled to. This allows businesses to prepare their applications for immediate submission once the application period commences on 13 July 2021.
